According to recent news, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) suspended the collation of results for the supplementary election in Adamawa state after Barrister Hudu Yunus Ari declared Senator Aisha Dahiru as the winner of the gubernatorial election [2]. However, INEC has declared this action null and void, as it goes against their guidelines [2]. The incumbent governor, Ahmadu Fintiri of the PDP, was leading with 421,524 votes while Senator Aishatu Dahiru, popularly known as Binani, had 390,275 votes [2].
