34 Felony counts against Donald Trump

Donald Trump is scheduled to appear in court in Manhattan in December 2023 for a pretrial hearing in a criminal case brought against him by the New York County District Attorney, Alvin Bragg. The trial may impact the outcome of the Republican presidential nominee with an upcoming hearing on December 4th against 34 felony counts. The Manhattan district attorney is advocating for the trial to begin in January, however, Trump’s defense is proposing a later date. If the prosecution’s insistence was imposed, Trump’s campaign would have to fight a split of attention between the trial and the campaign in Iowa and New Hampshire primary contests as it may pose a risk to his campaign. Trump’s legal team is pushing for a trial date after the early states’ contests. The case is viewed by many as flimsy, and Bragg has yet to specify the other crime he alleges Trump committed. It is not illegal to withhold a candidate’s marital infidelities.
